Thursday night I worked at the Amex show, which closes Fashion Week in NYC. Every season they invite their Amex Black Card holders (the black card is the highest level you can get from them) and showcase a runway collection from a different designer. The proceeds go to charity. Last year I worked backstage at the show. Tommy Hilfiger showed his collection, and LMFAO played.
This season, the Amex show was CH Carolina Herrera, which is a more casual, affordable line. I was very excited because she is one of the few designers who I loooove but haven’t worked for yet. I got to see Herrera up close, and she is really beautiful. She exudes a refined elegance that you don’t see very often anymore.
It was a fun vibe backstage. The woman in charge was very nice and calm (not always the case. Sometimes they are crazy, screaming banshees!), wearing no makeup and jeans, and I didn’t realize until much later on that it was Herrera’s daughter Patricia. She chatted away with everyone as if her mother wasn’t one of the most powerful forces in fashion.
Here are some photos I was able to snap backstage.

These gorgeous clothes are making me long for summer! If you want to see more of the CH Carolina Herrera summer collection, check out Carolina Herrera’s Pinterest page: Men’s and Women’s.
