The bad news is that the temperature is literally arctic where I live right now (it’s -11 but feels like -35. Ack!). I have not stepped foot outside my house in two days. The good news is that it’s January so there are some amazing sales out there and more to come at the end month. Combine those two facts and you have a great opportunity for online shopping! I shop at the same websites because they all offer great prices, great selection and some even have free shipping. Sizes go really fast at the discount websites so buy quickly! I love Zappos because they have the best search engine of any website out there. And they have free shipping and free returns for 365 days after you purchase an item. I have skinny calves, so it can be difficult for me to find boots that fit in stores. Zappos makes it easy. I did a search for knee-high boots that are 2 to 2 3/4 inches with a 12 to 13 3/4 shaft circumference (how big it is around the calf. Most boots have a 14-15 inch shaft circumference). Zappos came up with 45 options for me that I can sort by price, customer rating, brand name or best sellers. I like this pair a lot. They are a bit pricey, but La Canadienne are waterproof so they will last a really long time.

Hautelook is a membership site owned by Nordstrom, and they have events that last several days to offer specific brands at a much lower price than retail. I’ve gotten some great bargains there, and my husband, who never shops, is a bit obsessed with Hautelook. They also offer free shipping for over $100. Today they have events for J Brand, Calvin Klein, Superdry (cool Japanese brand), American Vintage, some makeup, jewelry, home goods, kids clothes, wardrobe must-haves and shop the trend: stripes and solids, sneakers, boots and Fendi and Valentino handbags.
