I got a text yesterday from a friend asking for advice because she was having a fashion emergency. She had just been invited to an event at Nordstrom that night where the wives of the Detroit Tigers would be, and she had no idea what to wear. I didn’t even have to think about: black boots, dark skinny jeans, a blazer and a scarf. It’s a go-to outfit that works for a multitude of occasions, and it’s my basic uniform.
