I am in the throes of New York Fashion Week for Spring 2014 and having a fab time! I had heard about the designer Mara Hoffman in the past, but I had never really seen any of her clothes and I had never worked at one of her shows. I was clearly missing out. Her boho chic designs, tribal patterns, bright colors and luxurious fabrics are amazing. I wanted to show you some of my favorite pieces.

This evil eye pattern is just too gorgeous!!!

These colors look beautiful together – so tribal!

And the shorts version of this pattern is sooo cute!

I looooove this dress. Doesn’t it look great against the model’s skin tone?

The design on this cover up was beaded, and it was sooooo heavy. The model had to keep pulling it back so it wouldn’t slide down on her.

Each model had two long braids (down to the thigh) woven into her own hair, and these Guatemalan belts were tied around as an accent.

This is the designer. She’s naturally chic without trying too hard
After the show, I saw Sigourney Weaver and Nigel Barker, the photographer. It’s always fun to see celebs at a show because you can get a feeling for their style that you can’t get from seeing them on the red carpet. Sigourney was made up very naturally and wearing a swingy Mara Hoffman dress.
More Fashion Week coverage to come!
